Kenyon Square

Washington, District of Columbia

Torti Gallas worked with a developer client on the redevelopment of two parcels of the Columbia Heights area of Washington D.C. One of Washington’s oldest neighborhoods, Columbia Heights is experiencing an urban transformation back to its previous grandeur. Kenyon Square is a luxury 153- unit condominium building with street level retail built over an existing Metro tunnel. The architecture of the building reflects the varied styles of Washington, D.C. The southern facade is a deco style with large expanses of glass and wonderful views of the city. The northern portion of the building is designed in an Italianate style, echoing the design of grand Washington, D.C. apartment houses.

The residential units feature spacious floor plans, functional and modern kitchens, ample storage and closet space, and light-filled rooms. Many of the homes feature balconies. First floor retail wrapping around the Metro entrance provides convenient retail for residents and metro riders.
