The Arabian Canal Townhouse neighborhood plan delivers a more “Arabian” urban design solution with secondary streets that resemble winding lanes and traditional alleys that link small plazas throughout the neighborhoods.

The architecture of the townhome neighborhood provides five separate plans in 3 and 4 bedroom configurations that can either stand alone or come together in courtyard setting. These upscale single family homes are designed in a traditional Arabian Vernacular.

Intermittent shifts in the street grid, “Souqs” similar to bazaars, shaded paths, and courtyards in the blocks bring variety and informality to the urban grid.

The townhome neighborhood is one of ten neighborhoods in Urban Center One, a 12 square mile area located in the western end of the master plan for the Arabian Canal.

The Arabian Canal is a regional master plan for a new city in Dubai envisioned by Calthorpe Associates.
