This position acts as the primary point of contact during construction, coordinating closely with owners, contractors, consultants, and internal design teams to proactively manage quality, schedule, and budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary liaison between the Design team and field operations throughout construction.
- Review submittals, respond to RFIs, and prepare detailed field observation reports.
- Conduct regular site visits to verify conformance with approved design and documentation.
- Coordinate directly with clients, contractors, and consultants to resolve design issues and maintain clear communication.
- Assess payment applications, evaluate change orders, and maintain accurate project records.
- Identify and track construction deficiencies through resolution.
- Maintain accurate records of drawing updates and revisions.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of construction administration experience with an architectural firm.
- Experience with complex residential and concrete construction projects required
- Proficiency in Revit preferred.
- Experience with precast concrete garage components, NAVFAC, Design‑Build, or multi-family projects a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively across disciplines and manage multiple projects concurrently.
Work Environment
- Field-based onsite position with active, continuous involvement in daily project site operations
- Must be in the Hampton Roads Region (Norfolk / Virginia Beach / Newport News, VA)
