Sean Gaouette Receives ICAA Jacques Benedict Student Award for Excellence!!

Sean is the 2021 recipient of the Jacques Benedict Student Award for Excellence in Classical and Traditional Design from the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the Institute of Classical Architecture & Art (ICAA) for his thesis "A Counterproposal for the Development of Ward Road Station".

The Jacques Benedict Awards biennially celebrate excellence in classical and traditional design. The awards recognize today’s contemporary architects, interior designers, builders, craftsmen, artisans, students and patrons whose work displays the same expression of legacy, creativity and excellence in the classical tradition.

Sean’s thesis was a counterproposal for the development of Ward Road Station in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. His counterproposal transforms an end-of-the-line commuter rail station from a parking lot into a neighborhood center and regional destination.
