Project Description
Torti Gallas + Partners was commissioned to create an infill neighborhood at the Fox Valley Mall in Aurora, Illinois. The decommissioned Sears department store has become a site for infill housing and a new mall-adjacent neighborhood. As the retail landscape continues to evolve and right-sizing retail destinations becomes critical to owners, mixed-use infill projects are quickly becoming a viable and sustainable solution in these locations.
Carefully designed and highly amenitized, this apartment community has been crafted with placemaking and neighborhood-making in mind - creating great parks and open spaces in this suburban infill location.
